You can also fly to Bagdogra, followed by taking a cab or auto rickshaw to Siliguri. A four-hour trek from Dhotre will take you to Tonglu. You have to reach Darjeeling to go further towards Tonglu crossing the beautiful sight seeing views of the mountains. From Sandakphu a small 5 kilometers walk towards the forest of Tonglu reaches you to your destination.
The most preferable time to visit the beauty of Tonglu is in the months between mid-September and December and March – April, because it is time when you will experience the riot of colours falling on earth.
