Ever thought of taking a cruise? You aren’t the only one;
cruise ships remain one of the most popular forms of travel to date. Singles
cruises, couple cruises, family cruises they have something for everyone. They
go to any ocean adjacent location that can be visited safely, and there are
plenty of things to do while in between those harbors.
But what are the real reasons to take a cruise? When you ask
those who have been on them in the past, they usually point out the same five
benefits.
1. Being on the Ocean
If you have a tendency to get sea sick, a cruise might not
be for you. But if the thought of looking over the deck at the beautiful waters
of the ocean moving back and forth in waves, seeing dolphins hopping alongside
the ship, or catching the sight of whales under the surface is appealing, you
will love a cruise. Being on the ocean is a unique and wonderful experience,
not to mention incredibly peaceful. The blue of the sea, reflected in the light
of the sun, is a sight to see. The sunset casting reds and oranges and purples
against the coastline is even better.
2. Kids Love Them
A lot of people considering cruises are looking at family
friendly ones, and there are a lot of those. Not just cruises that are
appropriate for children, but that conduct multiple activities that are part
fun, part child care. The staff is trained to watch children, and give the
parents a chance to unwind and be alone together during the cruise. Plus, they
have other activities for the entire family so you can do things right
alongside your children. It is like a family resort, only on a ship and so much
smaller and safer.
3. They Are Budget
Friendly
As they are all inclusive and offer a number of benefits
like all you cat eat buffets 24 hours a day, these vacations are a steal. You
can often go on a cruise for twice as long as a land locked vacation, for a
fraction of the price. Leaving you more to spend while docked on various
islands along the way. That includes the perks included in the price of the
cruise itself, like spa treatments, childcare and more.
4. Lots of Locations,
No Planes to Catch
You unpack on the ship, and you don’t have to pack again
until you leave. Yet, you see multiple locations along the way and spend full
days and evenings docked in gorgeous places with a ton to see. Not having to
pay for multiple flights to do this, despite the distance between islands, is a
huge draw for people who go on cruises. At the end of your time on at each
port, you just get back on the ship and go to your room. It is a traveling
hotel.
5. Pampering Is
Implied
When you think of cruises you almost inevitably think of
pampering and luxury, right? Spa treatments, massages, laying by the pool with
cocktails, enjoying beach side service while on the islands, all of these are
generally included with these types of trips. Some you may need to pay extra,
but they are definitely available and cruise ships make it their specialty to
spoil their guests while they are on board.
