The temple is perched at an elevation of 2500 feet above the sea level and is settled in the birth city of present prime minister of our country. The shrine is enclosed in an area around Champaner Pavagadh Archaeological Park (one of the heritage sites declared by UNESCO) which is settled amidst the densely covered forests. The origin of the temple is associated with 10th or 11th century. A fair is being celebrated every year at Kalika Mata Shrine on the occasion of Chaitra Sud. This beautifully designed temple is dedicated to Lord Sun and is located at the Modhera Village in Gujarat. The construction of the sun temple was done during Chalukya Dynasty around 1026-27 CE. The worship is not allowed at the shrine now and is under the maintenance of Archaeological Survey of India. The tangled carvings done on the exterior and pillars of the shrine catches the eyes of the tourists accompanied with three other components of the temple including Gudha Mandapa (hall inside the shrine), Sabha Mandapa (assembly hall) and a reservoir.

The temple is dedicated to God Jagannath situated in the industrial city of Gujarat. The origin of this temple was done around 450 years back which is dedicated to Lord Krishna.
