Mysore Palace
The Mysore place is situated in the middle of the city and is one of the
spectacular work of art that tells about the flawless craftsmanship of Hindu
architectures. After the death of Tippu Sultan, former ruler of karnataka, the
palace was rebuilt from wood and sand and made ready for the royal family to
move in 1801. You can’t forget its image once you have seen the palace in night
with full illumination.
The Jaganmohan Palace
Transformed to an art gallery, this palace used to a retreat for
the royal family. The gallery showcases musical instruments, paintings and
statues from the bygone era.
Bandipur National Park
Established in 1931, it is a peaceful retreat in natures lap to enjoy
quite peace of the lush green forests. The park is home to a wide variety of
birds and animals in their natural habitat. You can see peacocks, elephants,
antelopes, deer and occasionally tigers.
St. Philomena’s Church
This church is a gothic structure and is one of the popular tourist
attractions of Mysore. The church is dedicated to St. Philomena, who was a
third century saint from Greece. It has a giant statute of the saint and is
visited by a large number of tourists annually.
